Benjamin Button

Benjamin Button

Leah and I met up with Joe and Lindsay last night to have dinner and see a movie.  We had dinner at O’ Charley’s and the movie we saw was “Benjamin Button“.

Its a good idea to see Benjamin Button, but go see Slumdog Millionaire first.

Benjamin Button was an interesting movie.  The makeup and special effects were incredible.  The acting was fantastic and the plot was, well interesting.  It was certainly engaging but I left the theater wondering what i was supposed to do with the experience of having watched this film.

One of the main characters in the movie can be quoted as asking,

Did you learn anything worth repeating?

I loved this line for many reasons but when I reflect on having watched Benjamin Button, I can not say that I really learned anything worth repeating.

Is it a good idea to expect every movie you watch to have a great lesson that changes the way you look at life?  Probably not, but I still wanted one from this film and have yet to stumble upon it.

Any ideas for what people should takeaway from having seen the life of Benjamin Button?
